DAN JOHN: GOAL SETTING SECOND MILLENNIUM

DAN JOHN: GOAL SETTING SECOND MILLENNIUM

    Price: $3.95

    Quantity in Basket: None

Most of us, and probably all of your clients, don't have any trouble jumping on board with a new plan. Where we usually go wrong is when the enthusiasm wears thin and we discover there was no goal behind the big jump. Here's Dan to explain how to build a goal you or your clients can see through to the end.

"To me, this is how goal setting works. You’ll notice there’s a story behind my goals, and that’s really an important part of the goal-setting process. When you talk with someone who says he wants to do x, y or z, for me the story is so important—the history, the background. You’re dealing with a person who showed up with a goal, and it helps to see where it’s coming from." ~Dan John

    Reviewer: Sid

I have been a fan of Dan John for long time and read his book easy strength recently. This lecture added to its concept of four quadrants in terms of goal setting and brought more clarity to that approach. I bought Dan's book "Intervention" after reading this and found that its first chapter is same as this audio lecture. SO if you have intervention dont buy this .

Dan does a fantastic job of spelling out the importance of goal setting and how to provide appropriate application to achieve those goals with a no nonsense approach. Anyone who is training for a particular goal should listen to this lecture.

    Reviewer: Roland Denzel

Dan's common sense on goal setting applies to virtually every part of life. I've heard Dan talk many times, and this one is a particularly good talk. Short, sweet, and to the point on realistic goal setting. Extremely quotable!

    Reviewer: Boris Bachmann

Simple, but not easy - assess where you are, determine your goal, and manage your training options. Analogies, anecdotes, practical examples, and clear and useful suggestions to help you get it done. It's classic Dan John talking about goal-setting for fitness, strength, and conditioning. Loved it! ~Boris Bachmann

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Great lecture on goal setting
    Reviewer: Dan

I'm familiar with Dan's concept of using his Quadrants as a guide to programming. In this lecture, he expands on it to give insight into how you should arrange your mindset in formulating your goals based on where you fall in the Quadrants. This is an expansion of the info in Easy Strength, not just a rehashing. If you're unfamiliar with the Quadrants, he'll give you a quick overview as well, so you don't have to have a prior understanding before understanding the lecture. All in all, a great lecture.
